well not exactly pregnant
pregnancies are for mammals
im more "with egg" than with child
and i did not actually lay said said egg

just take for granted that alien reproduction is incredibly complicated and we will leave it at that

Well it ain't just a mammal thing its just 'eggs' sounds kinda creepy.

Birth is kinda creepy in general.
